Hearts of Oak new signing Abdoulaye Soulama has blamed the Ghana Premier League No-show for his bench role in last month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with Burkina Faso.

The experienced goalkeeper was expecting to be handed the No.1 role with Daouda Diakite of Free State Stars injured.

But the lack of competitive action saw the former Kotoko gloves man warm the bench.

“I am very worried with the current situation because every league has commenced its 2014/2015 football season but Ghana does not even know when the league is starting,” Soulama told Hearts News.

“To me, I don’t see any urgency in their actions. They must feel for us and the owners of the clubs too because time and money is just being wasted. The league should start very soon so that we can start working again.”

The Ghana Premier League has delayed due to a legal dispute between relegated King Faisal and the Ghana Football Association.
