Razak Brimah wants to play for Ghana at the World Cup

Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah claims he’s close to 90% sure of making the country’s World Cup squad to Brazil.

The 26-year-old is confident of making Kwesi Appiah’s squad for the global showpiece in the South American country following his exploits with Spanish second-tier side Cordoba.

Brimah marked a disastrous debut for the Black Stars in their 3-1 defeat against Japan in an international friendly last year.

However the ex-Nania FC shot-stopper has recovered from the disappointing performance and remains optimistic of making it to Brazil.

“I am more than 88% sure of making Ghana’s squad to Brazil,” Braimah told Power FM.

“I know Mr. Kwesi Appiah has the confidence in me so all I have to do is keep working hard and play all my matches and leave the rest to God and the coach because it is the coach who will decide at last.”

The ambitious goalkeeper has been a pillar in post for the Spanish side joining them last September.

But he will face stiff competition from Fatau Dauda, Adams Kwarasey, Daniel Agyei and CHAN star Stephen Adams.

This guy is playing week in wee out in a league far superior than the south African league yet AA prefers bench warming Dauda.
Yes he made a cock up in his debut but should we blame him? The kind of line up we had on the day was shambolic.Razak Barimah needs another chance to prove himself.A goalkeeper is as good as his defenders.
I simply cannot make out AA’S selection plans.
Kwarasey plays week in week out,yet he pefers Dauda a professional bench warmer not good enough for a mediocre league. How can Dauda be Ghana no 1 when he can’t command playing time in south Africa.
AA always select the week defence to play in front Kwarasey in raining so that when he is scored against,he gets opportunity to play Dauda.
