Goalkeeper Kingson in talks with French side Sochaux

Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson could join French club Sochaux after the Ligue 1 side offered to sign the shot-stopper.

The 32-year-old was voted among the top players at the 2010 World Cup which ended in South Africa three weeks ago.

After being released by English side Wigan, Kingson is seeking new opportunities in Europe and France could be his next destination, insiders have told Ghanasoccernet.

His agent Fabien Pivateau is understood to have met the leaders of Sochaux over a two-year deal and a response is expected in the coming days.

Sochaux are looking for a goalkeeper after injury to dependable shot-stopper Teddy Richert who has been ruled out for four month.

This means he will not5 be available when the season starts next month.

Kingson could be catapulted to be the first choice keeper if a deal is reached.
