Richard Kingson insists he will find a new club soon

By Patrick Akoto

Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson has no doubt he will find a new club soon.

The 34-year-old has remained clubless since he was released by Blackpool in the summer of 2011.

The experienced shot-stopper, who is a free agent, is confident he will find a new club in the coming weeks.

“As you can see I am training on my own. I am in talks with my agent and hopefully I will join a new club soon,” the former Wigan Athletic man said

“There are few offers on the table and I’m studying them with my agent. It will not be too long for me to find a new home.”

Kingston inactiveness has caused him a place in the Ghana national team where he has been overlooked for the qualifiers for the 2013 African cup of Nations qualifiers and more crucially the qualifiers for 2014 Fifa World Cup as well.

The former Ghana first choice glovesman has played in five Africa Cup of Nations finals including skippering the Black Stars to win silver at the 2010 edition in Angola.

He has also played in two Fifa World Cup finals

Let’s show compassion and pray always for all our stars. he has served Ghana more than any footballer in our history. Is that how to pay back our legends?
He is looking for a club/job to take care of himself and family. Please, show some sympathy.

    • Ohene says:

You are right. As long as he can still play, nobody has the right to tell Kingston what to do with his life. He needs our encouragement to overcome those TB Joshua saga and his club-less situation.
He is our brother, friend and a Ghanaian. Live and let somebody live too.
