Felix Annan could be dropped from the Ghana U20 squad for the FIFA World Cup.

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan risks being axed from the Ghana U20 team with his prolonged stay at Club Brugge for trial.

The 18-year-old left the country to undergo a two-week audition with the Belgian club without official notification to the national team.

His whereabouts is thus not officially known to management and the coach of the Black Satellites.

"For us as management and to the coach, we are unaware of his (Annan) whereabouts," Ghana U20 management chairman George Afriyie told MTNFootball.com.

"We have written to Asante Kotoko requesting for their player and so far he is yet to report."

With his two-week trial period already expired, Annan risks getting dropped from the team for the upcoming World Cup in Turkey if he fails to report to camp on time.

Even though he has been pencilled for a spot in the provisional squad, the 18-year-old’s continued absence from the team's preparations could see his exit with three goalkeepers already training with the side.

"We already have three goalkeepers we are working with so preparations continue nevertheless," Afriyie added.

"He is part of the provisional team but we all know the final decision lies with the coach and the technical team of who makes the final squad."
