Daniel feels bad but not disappointed

Ghana goalkeeper Daniel Agyei insists he is not disappointed after being snubbed for Wednesday’s friendly against Turkey.

Coach Kwesi Appiah left out the 23-year-old from his  now reduced 19-man squad for reasons yet to be made public.

However there are those who believe the goalkeeper has paid the price for his perceived dip in form.

But the former Liberty Professionals shot-stopper insists he has no had feelings.

“I am not disappointed at all. Everybody wants to see me in post but if the coach doesn’t need you for a particular game, there is nothing wrong with it,” Agyei said

“I must admit that I feel bad but if I have not been called up there is nothing I can do. I always want to be part of the national team.”

“I  just joined a new club in South Africa and so need time to settle.

Agyei conceded four goals during his debut for Free State Stars last week.
