Norway-based goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey will undergo an eye operation on Monday, MTNFootball can confirm.
The Stromsgodset captain says he has some defects in his eyes and wants to take advantage of the one-month break in the Norwegian top-flight to correct that.
The operation will be done in Oslo and will begin his rehabilitation at the club before the league resumes on 22 June.
He was in action on Friday night when Stromsgodset beat Aalesund 2-1 at home and open a five-point lead.
Kwarasey will miss Ghana’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Sudan and Lesotho next month on the road.
The 25-year-old was the Black Stars first choice goalkeeper but lost his place to Fatau Dauda in the build up to the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
