GNPC will in the coming days be announcing financial support packages for the Black Stars for their 2014 World cup campaign.

The team’s headline sponsors have already hinted of sponsoring a training program in Liverpool for the entire Black Stars technical team before June’s tournament in Brazil.

The oil exploration firm have had their budget estimations for the immense financial support package approved by its board and will be making the due announcements in the coming days.

GNPC will also be contributing its quota towards financing the transportation of fans to Brazil to support the team at the World Cup.

This was revealed by the acting Chief Executive of GNPC Alex Mould after picking up one of eight special awards from the Ghana FA on Friday night.

“On behalf of our chairman [Ato Ahwoi] - who has approved the budget - we will soon be announcing the packages we have for the team,” he said in his brief acceptance speech.

Ghana is making its third successive appearance at the World Cup following progressive stints in 2006 and 2010 in Germany and South Africa respectively.

The Black Stars aim to progress further than their quarter final finish at the last World Cup four years ago in South Africa.
