Gilbert Fiamenyo marks Hearts of Oak debut

Published on: 24 December 2012

Striker Gilbert Fiamenyo marked his debut for Hearts in the 1-1 home draw against Aduana Stars on Sunday.

The 20-year-old was thrown into the game by coach David Duncan despite concerns about his fitness.

The ex-Heart of Lions man was rusty due to his long injury lay-off as he failed to inspire the capital-based side to victory.

The decision to use Fiamenyo in the game has been met with some criticism as it was obvious the striker had not healed completely from the knee injury.

He was substituted in the second half.
