New-signing Gideon Baah says he is determined to help HJK Helsinki reach the Group stage of the UEFA Champions League for the 2014/2015 campaign.
Baah joined the Finnish Veikkausliiga champions on a three-year deal on Monday after an impressive debut season with Honka.
The capital club will be playing in the qualifying rounds of next season’s campaign and left-back wants his side to progress to the group stage.
“The Champions League Group stage is obviously the main target,” Baah said.
“If we retain the league it’s an added bonus but we have to rub shoulders with Europe’s elite.
“Champions League football is magnificent competition and we have the personnel to play there.”
Baah was the first winner of MTN Soccer Academy Reality Show and his reward was a trial stint with English Premier League giants Chelsea.
