Ghanaian international defender Gideon Baah has been named in Uefa's Europa League Best XI after the group stages of the competition.

The former Asante Kotoko full-back, 23, is one of two African players who made the grades according to renowned football statistical service WhoScored.

Baah played in all of HJK Helsinki's Group B games, scoring twice to keep alive faint hopes of the Finnish Veikkausliiga title-holders in the competition.

He completed a total of 540 minutes from six games, one of many players in the group stages to achieve that but his impressive performances in the games he featured in separated him from the lots.

Though HJK could not progress beyond the group stages as they finished third to Club Brugge and Torino who won the group and finished second respectively.

Baah is a double winner with HJK after lifting the Finnish FA Cup and league title with them on his debut season with the giants.
