Kotoko are one of the title favourites for the Glo Premier League

Title holders Asante Kotoko and arch rivals Hearts of Oak will play tough matches at the start of the season, first round fixtures for the 2012/13 domestic season show.

Ghana biggest league game will be played on 18 November as Kotoko will host Hearts in Kumasi in the most anticipated game of the first round.

But the Porcupine Warriors will have revenge on their minds on 7 October when they host newly-promoted Amidaus Professionals, who eliminated them from last season’s FA Cup.

Kotoko’s succeeding matches will be against Aduana Stars, Arsenals and Medeama with all the three clubs noted as tough assignments for the Kumasi-based giants.

Hearts of Oak’s hopes of wrestling the title will begin at the Tema Park where they clash with Tema Youth with subsequent matches against New Edubiase, Dwarfs and Wa All Stars.

Spare a thought for newly-promoted Real Tamale United who host AshantiGold in their opening game before playing Lions, former champions Aduana and Berekum Arsenals.

Amidaus are considered to have been handed a kind start with their first three matches against Kotoko, Liberty and King Faisal.

The first round of the league campaign will be brought to an end on January 13, 2013 when the match-day-15 round of games are played.
