SkySport24 claim the player will meet the Serie B club on Tuesday to finalize his move to the Stadio Franco Ossola.
The 20-year-old does not fit into the plans of La Viola head coach Vicenzo Montella and must look elsewhere for more playing time.
Salifu had a season-long loan spell last term at Catania where he made ten appearances in the Serie A.
