Ghana’s goal celebration dance is intoxicating

Ghana’s goal celebration during Saturday’s entertaining 2-2 draw against Germany has gone viral as the best celebration of the tournament so far as scorer Asamoah Gyan was joined by team-mates for a rather entertaining and hypnotizing celebration dance.

We thought Colombia had the ‘celebration of the World Cup’ title wrapped up after their superb squad effort against Ivory Coast, but Ghana have given them a great run for their money as they went ahead against Germany.

Mario Gotze gave the Germans a second-half lead but Andre Ayew equalised almost instantly, before Asamoah Gyan stunned Ghana’s opponents by firing them in front.

And the celebration which followed was superb.

But Ghana’s dancing joy was short-lived, as substitute Miroslav Klose found a leveller shortly after.

The dance sometime sometime lessons concentration.
Dauda concedes cheap goals.Kwarasey is my pick.
No one manned the post causing the second goal,Dauda should have yeld at K.Asa.
Glad KPB was average,he will be retiring after WC anyway.
If we had played with same seriousness against USA,who knows.
Hope Portugal kick USA big time.

Ghana, Nigeria, and Algeria are coming home.Ivory Coast may qualify.Mark my words.

Dauda is luckier keeper than Kwarasay, period.

Very true indeed, Navy Seal USA! This happened throughout the game! Only Harrison Afful was manning his post! The “COACHES” should have corrected this, but they were too much concerned with “Gyan-Dance Ensemble”! If I can remember very well, the second goal of the USA against us was at an unmanned post!

All you Dauda haters can go to HELL! Kwarasey is ok but Dauda is the best. The guy may not be the tallest goalkeeper but the sense of urgency he displays and his seriousness and his desire for success is super. Kwarasey plays in a competitive leagu but lacks confidence at the national and international level and can’t be relied upon. Dauda could have saved the first USA goal had he been in the post.

IF WE NEED A KEEPER THAT EXHIBITS CONFIDENCE,ITS DAUDA.ONE ONE CAN BLAME HIM FOR ANY MISTAKES IN THE GAME.HE WAS SUPER SUPERB IN ALL CATEGORIES.I CLEARLY REMEMBER THAT DIVING PUNCH HE MADE.HAS TIMING,COMING OUT AT CORNERKICKS TO MAKE INTERVENTIONS OVER THE GERMAN PANZIS.ADAM K.HAS A PROBLEM WITH COMMUNICATIONS.I WONDER WHICH LANGUAGE HE USES IN COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE DEFENSE,WITH ENGLISH NOT BEING HIS FIRST LANGUAGE.THIS IS AN AREA WHICH I THINK AFFECTS HIM.DAUDA WAS SHOUTING TO INCH PERFECTION,HOW HE WANTED HIS WALLS AGAINST FREEKICKS,AND ADAM WILL BE USING HIS HANDS TO INDICATE.THAT’S AN OBSERVATION I’VE MADE-COMMUNICATION BARRIER.

The left back should have man the post but it’s not kasa’s fault as he played very well and saved a couple of goals. AA fault as he had 3 yrs to find a good left back and he failed — now we have a make shift defense.

This dancing after the goal is not necessary as we lose to much energy and concentration — gyan is the problem and the coach needs to have them stop…

To me i c no problem wid d dance. I even c it as a trademark or a form of recognition. It makes us standout among our african colleagues. As for d goal KA lost a bit of concentration. Jordan too shd hv given d ball to A.gyan rada dan going solo. All in all it was a good display by our proud stars.

Ghana vs USA. 2014 In all honesty, Ghana thumped their chests and celebrated way Too Much Too Soon. USA must not have taken to being “shown up”. And frankly, It looked like a Fart Dance. That’s how I maneuver my waist and legs when I’m at home and have to let loose bad gas. Seriously, am I’m the only one to notice this. Is this what the article meant by intoxicating? Next time, wait until you accomplish something more meaningful than a temporary 2-1 lead.
