Ghana’s U20 female team will kick start their campaign at the 2014 FIFA Women’s World Cup with series of friendly games on Friday.

The Black Princesses will engage a Toronto-based female select side today before playing other teams.

Coach Bashir Hayford will use the friendly exercise to test his side ahead of the start of the tournament on August 5.

Chairman of the Black Princesses management committee Osei Tutu has confirmed the team will play the matches to test their readiness for the world challenge.

“From Friday the Princess will begin with a number of friendlies lined up for the team”, he said.

“We hope that will give the team the strength they need to put them in a better position so we can make a better impact at the World Cup.”

The Africans will play host Canada before they tackle Finland and Korea Republic.
