Ghana hot-shot Abdul Majeed Waris hit a stunning hat-trick for BK Hacken in their 5-1 demolishing of Syrianska in the Swedish top-flight on Saturday.

The Hamburg SV-pursuit has now taken his league tally to 22 in 25 games.

The 21-year-old Black Stars striker put Hacken in the driving seat four minutes before the break with a sensational strike and set up Martin Ericsson for the second in the nick of half time.

Ghana U20 attacker Nasiru Mohammed who came off the bench in the 58th minute started an attack on the right flank which saw Waris, who was on the verge of shooting fouled inside the box.

Waris elected himself and expertly dispatched the resultant spot-kick with a cracking drive to the left.

He then latched onto a pass at the edge of the area and outpaced his marker to send an intelligent low drive past the Syrianska  goalkeeper to complete his hat-trick.

A number of top flight European clubs have lined up to sign the former Right to Dream Academy graduate when the transfer window opens in January.

lol, so true, after the last pussy went crying all the way to his mummy when we scolded him, it good to know there are confident guys around.

  3. Kay says:

Malawi will open up, because they have to score three goals. That will be the biggest mistake in their football history.
They should just defend the 2.0 away-loss, better than 3.0 at home.
Warris on fire and Gyan is hungry, Dede want to redeem his image, Kwadwo want to prove why Juventus signed him, Atsu want to continue where he left off.
Competition amongst our defenders will be the key to solid defense against Malawi. Kwaresey want to remain Ghana’s number one.
I feel so sorry for Malawi- welcome to Soccer School of Ghana.

  4. Robb says:

I like “Ghana Soccer School” You forget to mention Wakaso. He would like to impress to remain with the squad. OH MALAWI !!!!!!!!. How I wish we are playing against Zambia.

  5. Sergeant says:

We will change their name from Malawi to Malaweep.

  6. hayford osei says:

you are right my dear friend , i swear they will regret meeting ghana, i feel pity them any way but they have no choice than to face it like that , if there was any chance i will rather advice them to pull out than rather facing this heavy humiliation , any way they should take it like that.sorry malawi is too late

  7. Abs says:

Dis guy shd start ahead of Gyan. He’s playin in a better league. How can our top striker b playin in UAE, its awful, ouch!

  9. Jaja says:

    @Abs
Yes, at least Waris is hitting hat-tricks in Europe!

  10. coconutman says:

Those who doubt Waris’ ability should watch his PK. PK’s are the same regardless of which league you play in. The size of the goals are the same in the Swedish league as they are in the EPL and Italian and Spanish leagues.

Waris took that PK with confidence and tucked it away. This player has skills and pace and very smart like Gyan. He is a graduate of the “right to dream academy of Ghana”. He is a local Ghanaian player making good let us give him a chance to flourish for Ghana. God knows we need good strikers.

I will not disrespect Gyan by saying Waris should start ahead of Gyan but I am asking the Coach to give him the same amount of minutes Jordan got. I have a long memory and I know what Gyan has accomplished for Ghana soccer. He played in the World’s biggest stage more than once and never disappointed. The two together will be dynamite. GO Black Stars!

  11. GH FUO, THINK BIG!!! says:

DANISH LEAGUE, SWISS LEAGUE, NORWEGIAN LEAGUE ARE ALL BETTER THAN SWEDISH LEAGUE. SWEDIH LEAGUE IS ONPAR WITH THE CYPRUS OR LATVIA LEAGUE. WILL U CALL A GH PLAYER IN CYPRUS OR LATVIA TO FEATURE FOR GH? WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME U HEARD OR SAW A SWEDISH LEAGUE IN THE UEFA CHAMPIONSHIP? OR EVEN GO PAST THE IST ROUND? HW3, U PPL DONT REALISE ANYTHING UNTIL ITS TOO LATE. THIS WARRIS GUY IS PLAYING IN A USELESS LEAGUE. DONT LET THE NUMBER OF GOALS HE SCORES FOOL U. LOOK AT GYAN. PRIOR TO GYAN GOING TO SAUDI LEAGUE, IN WHICH LEAGUE HAD HE SCORED MORE THAN 2 GOALS? GYAN PLAYED IN ITALY, FRANCE N ENGLAND BEFORE GOING TO SAUDI. YET, GYAN IS GETTING OLD AND MANAGING TO SCORE HATRICKS DEN THINGS IN SAUDI LEAGUE. DOES THAT MEAN HE IS STILL THE PROLIFIC GYAN HE ONCE WAS? NO!….U PPL ARE WORSE THAN WOMEN. USE UR HEAD, NSTOP DWELLING ON EVERYTHING U SEE ON TV OR MOVIES….
NOW, U HAVE 2 LIABILITIES AS STRIKERS…WARRIS AND A DEPLETING GYAN. WHERE WILL THE GOALS COME FROM? I DONT MIND GYAN, BUT WARRIS SHOULDNT BE CALLED UNTIL HE MOVES AWAY FROM THE SWEDISH LEAGUE. HE HAS BEEN CALLED OVER 3 TIMES TO FEATURE FOR GBSTARS. ASK YOURSELF HOW MANY GOALS HAS HE MANAGED TO SCORE FOR GH? MEANWHILE, YIADOM, ATSU, AKAMINKO ALL SCORED ON THEIR DEBUTS….THINK GHFUO, THINK!

  12. Old man says:

Anyone who speaks in all CAPITALS is clearly an idiot! If not Waris or Gyan then who would you play and are they scoring in a good league? I would prefer to pick someone scoring in a mid-level league than not scoring in a top league or brings a nonsense attitude to the black stars (Jordan).

  13. Mikael, supporter of BK Häcken says:

    Just a correction- it wasn´t a hattrick:

    1) The three goals wasn´t in the same part of the game. The halftime was inbetween.
    2) Other player (Martin Ericsson) made a goal between Waris…

But- a great scorer nevertheless. Off course – the Swedish premier league isn´t the best, but that doesn´t mean that he isn´t great. Several players goes every year from the Swedish premier league to the big leagues – AND succeed. So, a player that dominate, is probably really a good player.

  14. GH FUO, THINK BIG!!! says:

@oLOSERman, u are the idiot for not seeing the light. PUT ME IN A JSS SCHOOL TEAM AND SEE HOW MANY GOALS I CAN SCORE. DOES THAT MAKE ME A SEASONED STRIKER? U ARE SUCH A FOOL, I THINK IM JUST WASTING MY TIME REASONING WITH U. WE HAVE BOAKYE YIADOM. WE HAVE ABEYIE. WHY CALL WARRIS?

UNTIL WARRIS LEAVES THE USE;ESS SWEDISH LEAGUE, DONT ENTERTAIN HIM IN ANY COMPETITIVE GBSTAR GAME. WE MAY LOSE OUT OF BRASIL BCOS OF CALLS LIKE THIS.

ACQUAH, PAINSTIL, WARRIS DONT DESERVE TO BE CALLED TO GBSTAR. AT LEAST NOT NOW….
