Ghana's First Lady makes donation to Brong Ahafo clubs

H.E Lordina Mahama on the campaign trail in the Brong Ahafo Region

H.E Lordina Mahama has donated sports equipments to eight football clubs in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The wife of Ghana President John Mahama who is running on the ticket of the ruling National Democratic Congress in the December 7 general polls is in the region of her origin to compliment her husband’s final stretch campaign.

Mrs.Mahama donated a set of jerseys and footballs to the clubs as part of her fulfillment to an earlier made pledge.

The beneficiary clubs include; Aduana Stars, Berekum Chelsea, B.A United,Tano Bofoakwa, Berekum Arsenals, Bechem United, Kintampo Stars and Techiman Universal.

Kingsley Osei Bonsu, Chief Executive Officer of Bechem United on behalf of the clubs thanked the First Lady for the kind gesture.

“We want to thank the First Lady for this donation made. It comes at an opportune time for some of us who are getting ready to comepete in Division One,” he said.

    welcome gesture,if it is the first time, it’s obvious she wants the votes, in that case, don’t give her the votes, it will amount to being bribed or that, the value of your vote equals her donation.
