Ghana’s CHAN team will commence camping towards next year’s competition in South Africa today.

The 28 players called up are to report at the M-Plaza Hotel in Accra to start the residential camp.

All the invited players took a mandatory medical on Monday to ensure the team is in a clean bill of health ahead of the camping.

The home-based Black Stars team will engage Mali in an international friendly at Accra Sports Stadium this weekend.

The team will later on travel outside the country to fine tune preparations after which the team will be pruned down to 23 – the required number for the tournament.

Ghana will be making its third attempt at winning the CHAN tournament which began in 2009.

The home-based Black Stars team are drawn in Group C alongside Libya, Congo and Ethiopia.
