Ghananian superstars Abedi Pele, Kuffuor on SuperSport AFCON panel

When the continents biggest football spectacle, the Africa Cup of Nations 2013, commences in South Africa on January 19th 2013, former Black Stars international players Abedi Pele and Samuel Osei Kuffour will form part of SuperSport’s elite panel of soccer experts to analyse the competition.

When the continents biggest football spectacle, the Africa Cup of Nations 2013, commences in South Africa on January 19th 2013, former Black Stars international players Abedi Pele and Samuel Osei Kuffour will form part of SuperSport’s elite panel of soccer experts to analyse the competition. 

In addition to the former Black Stars captain, Abedi Pele and the former Bayern Munich Ghanaian defense stalwart, Samuel Osei Kufour, other panelists will include the former Dutch soccer international player Ruud Gullit and South Africa’s celebrated soccer stars, Neil Tovey, Andre Arendse and Shaun Bartlett.

The panelists will be live on the detailed pre and post-game studio analysis show to look at the strengths, weaknesses and chances of each of the sixteen competing countries winning the tournament.

All 32 matches of the African Cup of Nations will be live on DStv and DStv Mobile with subscribers enjoying exclusive coverage of in high definition as well as magazine shows and packaged highlights.

DStv Premium subscribers with access to an HD PVR decoder can watch all 32 games live and in high definition – there will be 28 games on the dedicated AFCON channel SuperSport HD 2 and 4 games on SuperSport HD 1 (which will be specifically used as an overflow channel for games that kick off at the same time).

Meanwhile DStv Premium subscribers (without an HD PVR decoder) can watch all 32 games live – 28 games on the dedicated AFCON channel SuperSport 4 and 4 games on SuperSport Blitz.

DStv Premium subscribers also have access to SuperSport Select which, whilst not a dedicated Afcon channel, will also screen 28 AFCON games.

DStv Compact Plus, Compact, Family and Access subscribers have not been left out and they can also watch action from AFCON 2013 on SuperSport Select (28 live games) and SuperSport Blitz (4 live games).

DStv Mobile and Mobile Plus subscribers won’t miss out either – all 32 games will be available to them live – 28 games on SuperSport Select and 4 games on SuperSport Blitz.
