Ghanaian youth midfielder Salifu suffers injury

Amidu Salifu was forced off the pitch after just 13 minutes

Ghanaian starlet Amidu Salifu was forced off the pitch after picking an injury while in action for Catania in the Italian Serie A on Sunday. 

The 20-year-old Fiorentina loanee threw in the towel after just quarter of an hour after sustaining a debilitating knock when he clashed with a Sampdoria player at the Stadio Angelo Massimino.

Catania doctors will further assess the extent of the damage to the Sunyani-born on Monday.

Salifu has made a handful of appearances for the Rossazzurri this season.
