Ghanaian youngster Zak Ansah is in line to start for Plymouth in this weekend game against Shrewsbury.

Manager John Sheridan has taken the decision with the Pilgrims’ probable involvement in the League Two play-offs in mind.

Reid will instead receive treatment for a foot injury which has troubled him over recent months.

On-loan Charlton Athletic striker Zak Ansah is set to replace the 26-year-old in attack against already promoted Shrewsbury.

Sheridan said: “Reuben won’t be involved. I feel confident enough that I can give him a bit of a rest. He has had an injection in his foot. It is  Zak Ansah for this one ”.

Ansah who was born in London to a Ghanaian father working for Arsenal featured for the Gunners Youth team before joining Charlton Athletic he signed for Plymouth Argyle on a short loan deal last month.
