Ghanaian youngster Tetteh joins Greek club Platanias

Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Aziz Tetteh has joined Greek side Platanias on a three and a half year deal.

The 22-year-old signed the dotted lines for the promoted Superleague club after passing a mandatory club medical over the weekend.

The ex Liberty Professionals player who joins from fellow Greek side Fokikos has been handed the number 52 jersey at the Perivolia Munincipal Stadium.

It will be the first time Tetteh will be playing in an European top flight league since leaving Ghana in 2008 and he couldn’t hide his joy.

“ I’m very happy to join Platanias FC. I hope to do my best for a regular spot in the team and help the team’s ambitions,” he said.

Tetteh who is the nephew of deceased Liberty Professionals President Sly Tetteh initially joined Udinese alongside Rabiu Mohammed and Kwadwo Asamoah.

He has had loan stints at Spanish second-tier sides, Xerez, Granada, CD Leganes and Montaneros.
