Ghanaian trio Mohammed Awal, Yakubu Mohammed and Frank Sarfo-Gyamfi will work with new coach Clinton Larsen at Maritzburg after the international break.
Maritzburg unveiled the former Bloemfontein Celtic coach who takes over from Ernst Middendorp.
All three players were signed by former coach Middendorp and they must do more to convince the new man.
Centre-back Awal has been a regular at the club and striker Mohammed was one of the club’s key players until injuries set in.
Youngster Sarfo-Gyamfi is yet to consolidate his position in the first team.
Larsen’s appointment was confirmed on the club’s official Twitter account: “Clinton Larsen is officially unveiled here as the new head coach of Maritzburg United.”
Larsen spent three years with Celtic where he kept them in the top eight and also lifted the Telkom Knockout last season.
Maritzburg are currently ninth place with eight points from six games.
An ongoing injury crisis will also be a hurdle he arguably needs to overcome.
