Ghanaian teenager Koby Arthur feels he has a competitive advantage to win a permanent place in the Birmingham City squad for next season.

Koby, 17, joined the Blues last season from non-league side Woodford United and managed three first team appearances in the Npower Championship.

Birmingham City boss Lee Clark has imposed huge confidence in the former Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham target despite his tender age and has played him in both of Birmingham's pre-season wins over Shamrock Rovers and Alfreton Town.

The Ghana-born came off the bench on Monday and set up Birmingham City's third goal as they posted a 4-0 win over Shamrock Rovers.

Koby feels involved in Birmingham's pre-season exercise and is confident he stands in a good position to win a regular spot in Lee Clark's side.

"Its been exciting with the pre-season and things are going just fine here. I've played in all two games now and I feel good and confident I would play regularly next season," he told Ghanasoccernet.com.com.

He is at the St. Andrew's Stadium together with Dutch-born Akwasi Asante.
