Ghanaian supporters who traveled to South Africa to support the Black Stars during the AFCON 203 tournament have hailed the government for what they termed as the best package ever offered to Ghanaian supporters in past tournaments.

They praised Africa Origin travel and Sports Tourism whom government tasked to execute the travelling arrangements and other issues for the efficient manner it carried out the assignment.

With record 1,300 supporters sponsored by government, 98 percent of those interviewed showered praises on the government for their welfare at heart by offering them air tickets from Accra to Johannesburg via Port Elizabeth and back to Johannesburg, good accommodation, hotels, tickets to watch all the AFCON games, 24 hour protection, as well as giving them pocket money for feeding to execute the noble national cause of supporting the Stars.

Although the Stars could not win the ultimate to make their stay make their stay much more comfortable, the fans said they took consolation from the fact that the team looked promising for the future.

The remaining 1,500 Ghanaians supporters were due to arrive yesterday.
