Ghanaian striker John Antwi opened his Egyptian Premier League season with a goal after striking for Ismaily in their 2-2 drawn tie at AL Masry on Tuesday night.

The 21-year-old, who holds the Egyptian top-flight's Golden Shoe from last season, doubled the lead for Ismaily with a 39th minute strike but the visitors could not protect their lead as Al Masry fought from behind to snatch a draw.

The former Hearts of Oak striker poked home a wonderful strike from just outside of the box to make a huge statement of intent.

Ismaily started the game on a brighter note with and dominated the opening 45 minutes which saw Antwi scored but after the break, Masry turned the tables and offered more challenge which saw them equalise both goals.
