David Accam has made a strong start to the season

Ghana striker David Accam feels elated to be scouted on by English giants Manchester United.

The 23-year-old has had an explosive start to his season in Sweden with Helsingborg IF to alert several top clubs across Europe of his immense talent.

Accam’s impressive displays this season – including a wondrous goal from a 60-meter solo effort to send his side through to the Swedish Cup finals last Thursday against Malmo.

An unnamed scout from Manchester United will be in the stands on Monday night when Helsingborg face AIK in Solna to keep close tabs on the yet-to-be-capped Ghana forward.

The Right to Dream Academy graduate finds a lot of pride in the apparent interest in him from one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

“I am proud that the big clubs are looking at me. That means I've done something good,” he said.

Accam’s strong start to the season has enhanced his chances of making Ghana’s squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

He is however in competition with more established players in the Black Stars fold for limited sports fir June’s tournament.
