Acosty carried shoulder high team-mate after their triumph
Ghanaian youth striker Maxwell Boadu Acosty marked his return from injury by scoring to earn a point for under-performing Juve Stabia who shared the spoils with Grosseto in a two-all draw on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old put Stabia 2-1 ahead on the hour with a neat finish.
The Fiorentina loanee latched onto an Uche Mbakogu pass from inside the box and placed a neat low volley beyond the Grosseto goalkeeper.
But Stabia who are just a point clear of safety failed to protect the lead as Arturo Lupoli scored four minutes from time to grab a share of the spoils for the host.
Acosty’s team-mate Daniel Kofi Agyei came off the bench on the 58th minute mark for Stabia while Yaw Asante failed to make the Grosseto first team squad for the game.
The goal marks his second for the Campania-based side since joining them on a season-long loan from Fiorentina in July.
