Ghanaian-born Italy youth international Kingsley Boateng has his eyes on AC Milan first team but wants to bid his time with the second string side.
The Mpatuam-born, 18, is on the road to recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament injury he sustained last season and has been a regular for Dolcetti Aldo’s Primavera squad since his return to competitive action.
Boateng scored on his competitive debut game for the Rossoneris in a pre-season friendly tournament against Swedish side Malmo in 2011 and is expected to join Massimilano Allegri’s regulars anytime soon.
But the Italy U20 attacker is in no hurry to gatecrash the AC Milan first team squad.
“I think of coming back and doing well with the Primavera, if you excel there then it opens the gate for the first team and I will be happy, but for now my goal is to do great things with the Primavera,” he told Europacalcio.it.
The Ghana Football Association held talks with Boateng about committing his international future to his country of birth but the Italian U20 side continue to hand him invitation for games.
