Istanbul beat Liberty 2-1

Ghanaian second-tier side Istanbul FC continued their build-up ahead of the resumption of the National Division One League with a 2-1 friendly win over Liberty Professionals.

Istanbul FC, based in Akyem Techiman in the Eastern Region,  impressed heavily during the first round of the Ghana National Division One League campaign where they currently lie second behind Great Olympics in zone 3A.

The club which is owned by Turkish business tycoons are determined to qualify to the top-tier league and are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to achieve their aim.

The side have consistently played in the promotional play-offs but have failed in their attempt to make it to the top-flight.

They will host Olympics when the league returns as they trail by only three points.
