Ghanaian referee William Agbovi officiated Nigeria 1-0 defeat to Uganda in an international friendly on Wednesday.

Agbovi, assisted by compatriot Dawood Ouedraogo and Paul Atimaka, took charge of the game which took place at the ultra-modern Akwa-Ibom international stadium in Uyo.

Farouk Miya scored the only goal of the game in the 81st, following a swift counter-attack down the right.

Vincent Enyeama, who earned his 100th cap for the Super Eagles, tried his best to keep out the effort, but it bounced into the net.

Nigeria will play their second international friendly match in this FIFA window, against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on March 29.
