Ghanaian youngster Muniru Sulley is determined to beat the drop in the Romanian top-flight for debt-ridden CFR Cluj.

The 22-year-old hopes his performances in the second half of the season can improve the fortunes of the Railwaymen who have been been deducted 24 points by the Romanian Football League due to their inability to deal with spiralling debts.

CFR Cluj have now plunged into the relegation zone with 11 points.

Last Monday, the younger brother of AC Milan star Sulley Muntari, played the entire duration in the 0-0 draw at Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt.

He is in line to feature in Sunday’s home match against Pandurii Târgu Jiu.

“It’s sad to things happen to the club but we us players must remain focused and do our part. For me personal, I want to play more games and help the club survive relegation,” Sulley told Africanfootball.com.
