Ghanaian midfielder Ayarna mourns GAIS demotion in Sweden

Posted On Friday, 16th November 2012

Reuben Ayarna, front, is disappointed about GAIS' relegation from the Swedish top flight

Ghanaian international midfielder Reuben Ayarna has mourned the relegation of GAIS from the Swedish top flight league.

The Göteborg-based club finished bottom of the Allsvenskan table with 12 points from 30 games and won just a single game in the whole season.

Despite GAIS’ poor showing in the league, Ayarna, 27, was overly impressive and scored once in 29 appearances for the Makrillarna.

“It has been a very horrible season for me and it is something you can’t explain,”  he told Ghanasoccernet.com.

“We all got to accept the blame and move forward.

He however remains uncertain about his future with the club.

“I can’t comment on my future till January,” he added.
