Ghanaian youth attacker John Antwi marked his Egyptian Premier League opener by scoring all two goals for Ismaily to help them beat newly promoted side Al Qanah  2-1 on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old scored first for visitors at the Ismaïlia Stadium in the 33rd minute but his Ghanaian compatriot Michael Dodji cancelled the scoring for the host ten minutes from time Antwi scored again to restore his side's lead.

Antwi's double has set him on the top-scorers chart along with Al Shortah's Karim Kamar who also scored twice against Wadi Degla.

Antwi was initially included in the 2013 Ghana U20 squad but he was dropped later.

Antwi expressed delight after the game.

"I got my Christmas gift from God today with a brace in our first game of the season. Indeed we serve a living God," he posted on his Facebook wall.2-1
