Ghanaian goalkeeper Razak Braimah is looking to clinch the no.1 spot at his Spanish club CD Tenerife.

The 23-year-old has been the second choice goalkeeper for the Segunda B side (Spanish third tier) but says he is bidding his time to become the first choice.

“The competition here is very stiff and I am doing my best to clinch the no.1 position,” he told Accra-based Radio XYZ.

“You know it is very difficult for us goalkeepers especially when the no.1 is doing well but I am waiting for my opportunity and I am sure it will eventually come.

Razak adds the competition in the division is fierce enough to keep him in tip-top shape for future national engagements.

“There is a lot of competition here with everyone looking to progress by way of qualification so it is very tough here.

“We have a good team and we have four games at home so I believe we can make it once we win those games.”
