Ghanaian soccer fans are awaiting the arrival of the country’s Under-17 Women’s team after their bronze winning feat at the recently concluded Fifa Under-17 Women’s Championship.

The Black Stars beat Germany 1-0 to grab a historic bronze in Azerbaijan on Saturday.

The team is expected to touch base at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra at 19:30 GMT (7:30 local time).

The technical team and the players are expected to get a royal welcome as fans troop to the airport to await their arrival.

Ghana made history by becoming the first African country to win a medal at the Fifa Under-17 Women’s world championship and the memory will etch on the players for years to come.
