Maritzburg United Ghanaian duo Awal Mohammed and Frank Sarfo-Gyamfi will be working under a new coach following the resignation of Ernst Middendorp.
The 54-year-old German left the Team of Choice on Thursday and has been tipped to replace Clinton Larsen at Bloemfontein Celtic.
Awal has been commanding for United while Sarfo Gyamfi has struggled to break into the starting line-up.
Middendorp’s departure could pave the way for the former All Stars winger to fight for a place in the team which has been ravaged by injuries.
Awal is currently on international duty with the Black Stars ahead of Tuesday’s World Cup playoffs against Egypt.
