Ghana defender Samuel Kyere has secured a free agent status after cancelling his contract with Shirak FC, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 21-year-old was handed all his documents on Thursday in a FIFA ruling over unpaid three months wage.
Shirak were given the option to either pay the outstanding wages in order to keep the ex Ghana youth star or release him on a free in a player status hearing at FIFA.
The Armenian club who are facing serious financial challenges however decided to dispose of the player whom played a key role in their failed bid in the UEFA Champions League.
Kyere has been an integral member of the Shirak squad since joining from Berekum Chelsea earlier this year where he help the side secure last season’s top flight title in Armenia.
