Kofi Ntiamoah Nimeley in pre-season action for FC Basel

Ghanaian defender Kofi Ntiamoah Nimeley is on the verge of joining the first team of Swiss side FC Basel.

The 19-year-old has been involved in all the pre-season games of RotBlau and could make his top flight debut this weekend against Servette.

Nimeley who won the 2009 U17 World Cup with the Swiss junior team has been on the fringes of the Basel first team since joining the side four years ago.

The flying right-back has declared his intentions to play for Ghana which makes him eligible to feature for the Black Satellites at next month’s African Youth championships.
