Ghanaian full-back Nana Akwasi Asare has refused to rule himself out of a second spell at Dutch Eredivisie giants Feyenoord Rotterdam.

The 27-year-old spent early stages of is career at the Feyenoord youth team but failed to break into the  first team squad and as a result left to join Belgian side KV Mechelen.

The versatile full-back came close to returning to his boyhood club when he returned to Holland in 2009 but joined FC Utrecht where he captained the side two seasons.

Despite admitting he came close to returning to Feyenoord in 2009, he has revealed he still habours intentions of returning to the club.

"Why not? It's a nice club. I have played in the youth and I liked it in Rotterdam. You can never predict what will happen in football but I'm always ready for an adventure," he told Soccer News.

Since arriving at Gent, the former FC Utrecht captain has played an influential role in Gent's campaign as they occupy a mid-table place.
