Ghanaian defender Wilson Akakpo marked his competitive game for Al Masry in their 2-2 stalemate at Ismaily.

The former Berekum Chelsea fullback played full throttle for his side as they picked a valuable point in their opening fixture of the Egyptian Premier League.

“Am so happy to play my first game for Al Masry, it was not easy fighting for a starting place in a team like this because it’s a big and a traditional club,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com

“I know with hard work, determination and injury free season I will make a statement for myself in the Egyptian league”.

Meanwhile another Ghanaian striker John Antwi opened his impressive start to the season by registering the second goal for the home side Ismaily SC.

The home side scored twice in the opening exchanges with Ghanaian striker John Antwi on target before the visitors pulled parity in the second half.
