Ghanaian striker William Owusu Acheampong has inked a season's contract for Belgian Second Division side FC Antwerp, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The striker who turns 25 in September signed the deal to make a return to the Jupiler League after a spell with Romanian side Corona Bra?ov.

Owusu, a former Anderlecht player, went straight into action for Antwerp and proofed his quality by netting twice against KAA Gent in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday evening.

Antwerp have confirmed the deal on their official page: "We are happy to announce that striker William Owusu Acheampong will be part of Antwerp squad for the upcoming season."

The former Real Tamale United striker enjoyed a flourishing season with Westerlo four seasons ago where he netted over 15 times in 24 games.
