Ghanaian attacker Karim Bellarabi announced his return to Bayer Leverkusen with a strike in their 5-1 thrashing of German lower-tier side Jena in a pre-season warm-up friendly on Sunday afternoon.

The 24-year-old restored the lead for Sascha Lewandowski’s side with a trademark fantastic finish in the 26th minute before Robert Hilbert, Yurchenko and Brasnic scored to seal the win for the Bundesliga giants.

Bellarabi was farmed out to relegated Eintracht Braunschweig last season and impressed last, attracting interest from English suitors and other stellar clubs.

Despite the interest, new manager Lewandowski’ is keen to take a look at the attacker and his goal on Sunday afternoon would go down as a prove of his sharpness.

He scored thrice in 26 games, providing four assists in the process.

    that’s GSN for you. we’ve had enough of ur campaign for half Ghanaians.His commitment level might even be questionable.

    I am going to advise my cousin not to even think about coming to play for Ghana. Adam kwarassey’s case is enough. The man I adore before he became coach of the Ghana national has disgraced himself to the extend of which he can’t even instruct the playing body which he manages. Assnoah Gyan and john boye would tell the coach you don’t understand the local dialect hence you should be benched and you’ll benched

    @Ghanaman: What is not true?

    It’s over !!!
    Half-Ghanaians will never come and play for Ghana again, unless there is a drastic change in management.
    Owusu-Abeyie, Boateng, Kwarasey will testify why not.
