Italian-born Ghanaian attacker Caleb Ekuban found his scoring boot for the first time since the start of the season after netting a brace for Lumezzane in their 5-2 away win over Serie D leaders Virtus Entella.

The 19-year-old supporting striker arrived at the Nuovo Stadio Comunale from Südtirol in January after completing his loan spell there and was playing just his fourth game for club.

The Chievo Verona player's gigantic stature has drawn huge attention to himself in the European country but he has failed to flourish at Chievo and he has consistently been loaned ou despite impressing at the Primavera division.

For instance, during his earlier loan spell at Südtirol he was largely regarded as an underperformed as he scored just once in seven games.

However, after Sunday's game where he scored a brace (12th and 70th minutes) and completed the entire 90 minutes, Lumezzane manager Michele Marcolini is likely to hand him more playing time as he continues his progress from the youth ranks.
