Ghanaian youngster Zakaria Abdullai says he is not aware of Gefleââ¬â¢s decision not to renew his contract when it expires in 2014.
Reports have emerged the 23-year-old is on his way out of the Swedish club after failing to pin down a regular first team spot.
Reports in Sweden suggest the former Tudu Mighty Jets playerââ¬â¢s contract will not be renewed when it expires in 2014.
But the Ghanaian midfielder says he has not been informed of by the club of such a decision.
ââ¬ÅI donââ¬â¢t know where these reports are coming from, I finished training only to be called in to answer to these reports,â⬠Abdullai told GHANAsoccernet.com.
ââ¬ÅIt therefore cannot be true that the club has taken such a decision even though it is a normal thing in football.
ââ¬ÅI have over a year left on my current contract so it will premature to start talking about a renewal or otherwise.ââ¬
Abdullahi has a year more to run on his existing deal at Gefle.
The midfielder has played six games so far this term in the Swedish top flight.
