Ghanaian midfielder Mensah Akwetey got on target for Wadi Degla in their 6-0 drubbing of newly-promoted El Minya in the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday afternoon. 

The 30-year-old former Lierse SK defensive added his name to the score-sheet on the 24th minute, clinically shooting from just outside of the area.

Akwetey returned to Egypt last season after a two- season spell with Lierse in the Belgian Pro League where he managed 25 games.

The former Great Olympics player was a member of the triumphant Al Ahly side tha won the CAF Champions League title in 2008.
