After missing Sion's 2014/15 Swiss Super League opener at Luzern on Sunday, Ghana youth striker Ebenezer Assifuah is on the brink of gaining match fitness and is expected to be in action in mid-week.

However, manager Claudio Gentile could not include him in his squad for the trip to the Swissporarena as his fitness levelled had not reached 100%.

The 2013 FIFA U20 Ghana striker is expected to be fully fit for the before Sion play their next game, that coming with a trip to Aarau on Wednesday.

Assifuah joined Sion from Ghanaian Premier League side Liberty Professionals last August and bagged 7 Super League goals in 24 games.
