Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris hopes to profit from the benefits of observing the Islamic holy month of Ramadan (fasting).

Ahead of Friday’s congregational prayer, the Spartak Moscow player posted a picture of himself on Instagram and prayed for his enemies.

Waris wrote: “Still rocking on my last Friday of Ramadan. May the good LORD accept our prayers and let our enemies live long to see us climb the higher mountain. Good first.”

The 2014 World Cup striker could be loaned out by his Russian club after enjoying his spell at relegated French Ligue 1 side Valenciennes.

Waris has been linked with clubs in France and Belgium as Standard Liege remain a likely destination.
