Ghana international winger Wakaso Mubarak could mark his Scottish Premier League debut with giants Celtic on Saturday afternoon.

The 24-year-old Rubin Kazan' loanee rejoined his Celtic team-mates on Thursday after attending to international assignment with Ghana for the 2015 AFCON qualifiers against Uganda and Togo during the week.

Celtic manager Ron Deila could hand the former Espanyol winger his debut on Saturday as they host Aberdeen at the Celtic Park in an early kick-off.

Wakaso arrived at the Glasgow giants a fortnight ago on loan from Russia but was unused by Deila in their 1-1 draw with Dundee United but could feature on Saturday afternoon.

Deila, a former manager of Ghanaian trio Adam Kwarasey, Mohammed Abu and Nana Boateng, is facing injury situations and could be forced to start Wakaso in midfield despite his late arrival from the international break.

“We've had a lot of injuries so we need to get our players back in shape then work with the team so they know the pattern and way we want to play. It is an on-going process.”
