Ghana winger Solomon Asante has lost his mum, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.
Monica Danwaka passed away last Thursday at Sefwi Wiawso in the Western Region of Ghana after a short illness.
Asante, who has been in blistering form for TP Mazembe has been given the permission to mourn with his beloved mother.
“She was dear to my heart and so I’m extremely sad with her passing,†a sorrowful Asante told GHANAsoccernet.com
The Black Stars diminutive figure set-up a goal as TP Mazembe lost the CAF Confederation Cup title, losing 3-2 on aggregate to Tunisian side CS Sfaxien.
Family sources say funeral arrangement will be announced later.
